Frustration.

God tells us to love one another. Christ commands that we love our neighbor as we love ourselves. Over and over again in the bible, Christian teachings encourage love above everything else.

Sounds good, but how do we put that into play? Let’s be honest. Not every person is lovable and we don’t always feel lovable ourselves.

Love takes effort. Even in those relationships we want to love the other person, unconditional love is hard work. When we allow frustration to rule our minds and hearts, love is hard to find.

Frustration is a sign of giving up on God’s will in order to insert our own. Frustration tempts us to believe that this love concept is unrealistic and unimportant.

The remedy is easy. When we are tempted to allow frustration to replace love, choose God over self. After all, God is love.
